MDC Partners Agencies Team Up to Launch Specialist Network

Michael Bassik will lead Yes and Company as CEO

MDC Partners agencies Bruce Mau Design, Hello Design, Northstar and Varick announced the collaborative launch of the Yes and Company specialist network.

A press release describes Yes and Company as “the first vertically integrated specialist network designed to serve modern brand marketers.” The agencies will work together to provide clients a “cohesive and comprehensive strategic and creative offering.”

“Yes and Company was born out of the entrepreneurial and creative spirit of our agency partners and their collective drive to lead clients forward,” MDC Partners chairman and CEO Scott Kauffman said in a statement. “By putting client interests first, we draw an important distinction between legacy networks that consolidate and progressive partners who collaborate.”

MDC Partners managing director, partner Michael Bassik will lead Yes and Company as CEO.

“Agencies that do it all are no replacement for specialists that do it best,” Bassik said. “Marketers are in search of agile, skilled and collaborative teams that can help them expertly navigate disruption.”

He added that Yes and Company was formed “to create the first truly cross-disciplinary specialist network, because we believe it’s possible for clients to have deep expertise and seamless integration at the same time.”

Yes and Company’s network includes 200 branding, digital, experience, research and media specialists who have experience working with clients including Facebook, Netflix, Allstate, Audi, Asics, Delta and Diageo.

Hunter Tura, president and CEO of brand strategy and design firm Bruce Mau Design, said in a statement that BMD is “thrilled to be part of the Yes and Company platform. Our collaboration puts our clients’ needs first. By leveraging the strengths of our network, we’re able to drive significant growth, increase awareness and create opportunities for deeper customer engagement.”

“Our approach is global, digitally-led and holistic,”  added Jeffrey Histead, CEO of market research and strategy firm Northstar. “Being vertical means we can support clients through the entire customer journey—from research, branding and design, to experience, creative, and media.”

Yes and Company’s first client is healthy fast-casual chain Just Salad, and it’s working with an unspecified multi-national consumer electronics company on an upcoming product launch this year. The network’s agencies will also continue working with existing clients individually.

“The beauty is that each agency can continue to hone its own specialized expertise and talent while offering clients more comprehensive services and more effective outcomes,” David Lai, CEO and creative director at digital creative and technology agency Hello Design, said in a statement.
