MDC Partners Agencies Top Advertising Age’s 2017 A-List

MDC Firms Honored with Multiple Ad Age and Creativity Distinctions, Anomaly Named Agency of the Year

New York, NY, January 24, 2017 – MDC Partners Inc. (NASDAQ: MDCA) today congratulates its esteemed partner agencies 72andSunnyAnomalyCP+B and Redscout, for their recognition on this year’s prestigious Advertising Age A-List, honoring the best of the industry over the course of 2016. Among the accolades, Anomaly took home the publication’s most coveted distinction as the top “Agency of the Year.”

“It is a true pleasure to celebrate our partner agencies on their well-deserved A-List accolades, which recognize their roles as innovators, leaders and market-makers on behalf of clients worldwide,” said Scott Kauffman, Chairman and CEO of MDC Partners. “We are honored that such a disproportionate number of the industry’s celebrated firms are part of our MDC family.

In naming Anomaly this year’s “Agency of the Year,” Ad Age lauded the firm for having “obliterated the boundaries in which mainstream creative agencies typically operate,” celebrating Anomaly’s work in data analytics, intellectual property and multicultural insights, as well as its perfect new business record. Ad Age also celebrated 72andSunny as a “Standout Agency”, while calling out its Amsterdam office as “International Agency of the Year Runner Up” and highlighting the firm’s strong year of new business and organic growth, commitment to innovation, and focus on diversity.

Recognizing CP+B as an Agency to Watch, Ad Age praised its creative work for Domino’s and Kraft, as well as its product innovations. On the heels of global growth, decisive new business wins and ranking among the outlet’s “Best Places to Work in 2016,” brand strategy and innovation agency Redscout also made Ad Age’s list of Agencies to Watch, with a particular nod to the fact that clients are looking to the agency to help define their future businesses.

Building on the accolades, both Anomaly and 72andSunny were also celebrated by Ad Age sister publication, Creativity, as “Creativity Innovators”, and CP+B as a “Creativity Innovator Standout”.
